Back to work tomorrow, it has been a restful week and I did spend lots of time out exploring the island and have a backlog of photos to get posted. I like this perspective of Pyramid Peak I got on a dog walk a few days ago; just as I was going to take this photo several fist sized rocks came crashing down from the cliff to the left, landing in the water and shattering the perfect mirror. When I glanced up in surprise, I saw a raven looking down on me, a trickster as always. I got the last laugh though - and the shot - when the puddle eventually flattened out again.My lessons learned for the day were to always be open to seeing something familiar in new ways, and to laugh at life's rough spots and look ahead to the calm that will eventually return . . .

Great shot, Steve! I love your eye for framing a pic "just so" to get the most dramatic effect from it. Guess it won't be too long until that puddle will be frozen, huh? Wound it be worthwhile to gather a few more containers of blueberries? It would be a little bit of heaven to have them now and again through the winter when everything looks and feels dreary.
Gorgeous shot! That is one I've been trying to get at Reflection Lake up on Mt. Rainier for a couple of trips now - but haven't gotten the timing right. Really beautiful where you are.

Thanks everybody! As for more blueberries Kathy, I contented myself with just eating them as I was hiking as we have a LOT of berries in the freezer.
Kym, I do like this shot but it doesn't lend itself to the calendar because of the "portrait" orientation. I have some I took the other way and I don't like the framing as well . . . .
Grapefruit? You want grapefruit? I have a tree loaded in my backyard and would love to send you some. I just wonder what king of restrictions there are on shipping fruit. I'll have to find out..........Ruby Reds for x-mas. I'll see what I can do for you and Goldfish!
