Early Christmas in Unalaska

Goldfish's laptop has been a loyal companion out here on the island but gradually it was starting to show its age - the fan ran more, the letter "B" stopped working  unless you really pounded it, and its tiny hard drive just wasn't up to the task anymore.  Santa must have heard about the problem because he dropped off a sweet 24" iMac with 4 megs of RAM, 750 GB hard drive and a 1 TB Time Capsule.  Unfortunately for me, that will mean my blog entries will still suck but I won't be able to blame the computer anymore.

Sweet! Goldfish must have been a good girl this year for Santa to bring her a new laptop! That would be a nice present! I can only hope for internet at this point, though.......

That is PRECISELY the unit I was contemplating! I would be VERY curious what you think about the iMac in about a month or so!

Say what you want - your entries don't suck, except that you are writing about what so many of us drool over...

I predict you will love the iMac, if you have not used one already and know that. We are now a total Mac fam, with3 iMacs, a Macbook Pro, and a notebook. I just got the new 24 iMac at work, too. It is the only way to drive. :) Photos and movies are exceptional with it.

Steve and Goldfish, Do you want me to take Chico for a few days so Santa Can be "Thanked" in the manner her deserves for such a wonderful Gift?

Lori, Goldfish is the best girl, there is nothing santa could bring that would even begin to reward her for being in my life . . .

BZ, I'll keep you posted. So far I'm loving it but I haven't gotten the time capsule set up yet.

Suzassippi, you just became my unofficial go-to expert on all things mac. I've always been pc but have used one now and then - I'm excited about the possibilities for photo and digital film editing.

CB, not necessary, Chico likes to be around for all that . . .

Suza and Randoman are Mac freaks and finally talked us into it as well. :)
