Last Saturday was the last day of my vacation time for the year and it was a beautiful day so took a break from homework, loaded up Chico and headed to Morris Cove for a long walk on the beach. The horses were there and relaxed - Chico doesn't faze them a bit - and we had a great time for a few hours.
I have a new reason to love Morris Cove - it connects me with my sister. I think it was her favorite spot when she visited this summer so every time I am out there I think of the time we spent walking that beach and her great attitude and sense of wonder. How a water baby like my sister ended up in the midwest is beyond me . . . . miss you Sis!

Dinner was great last night but I am skipping breakfast and lunch, and possibly dinner to make up for those THREE Crème brûlée I had and the three slices of Prime Rib, and that chocloate mousse that Goldfish MADE me eat.

You are absolutely correct. Besides being with you, Morris Cove was my absolute favorite. I think I could have explored it daily and still found something new and exciting. Obviously, the horses know and seeing them makes me love it even more. Next time its during berry season! Love and miss you. Try to call you this weekend.
Those are great shots. I didn't know there were wild horses on the Aleutians. How big is the herd?

As soon as I saw the pictures of the horses, I thought of your visit with your sister. The pics are awesome and how great it is that you can "share" the same space with these beautiful creatures without them being frightened away!
