This photo was taken last week and I would have categorized the season as late summer. Today - out of no where - the peaks out here got a dusting of snow on the tops, not a lot, and there was a brief period of sleet this evening. I was hoping to have another month of summer out here . . .Safe travels to our new friend from Florida and best of luck on your endeavor, you're welcome at our place any time should things work out for you as you have the right attitude to be successful out here.

Winter is early here as well. It feels very Fall-ish and colder.

Beautiful photograph, Steve! I always enjoy seeing your motor in there for perspective and reference. We too got our first brief snow this weekend at Donner Pass. Not much, just enough to say: it's coming!
