I need to blog more more often, the pictures are piling up. These pictures of the Alaska Juris were taken almost two weeks ago when Jed and I were walking by the firing range. In that two weeks we have lost a whole lot of snow (again), and tonight after work I rode my motorcycle to the end of the road at Morris Cove, with no avalanches blocking the road (again). It was almost like there were two winters - there was March, and then there was everything else. March was the only month I didn't ride at least a little so I guess I shouldn't complain!

Going to miss all the snow pics! Looking forward to my favorite though - the fox! Has he been around?
Yes, you need to blog more often and post more pictures! I love your pictures and your stories.
I've missed your pics, but I know it's been time consuming for you. I hope we see more soon.
I KNEW it. I KNEW I'd get more snow in April, and I DID. We need the water. And we're getting it.

And that boat is certainly BIG. What kind of FV is it? What are they getting?

BZ, that is a catcher/processor, and they are truly amazing. They process the catch into surimi or filets, they even have a mini meal plant, producing fish meal and fish oil which is can be burned by the boat to reduce diesel usage. When they dock, they unload boxes of frozen product, ready to ship - truly a Modern Marvel (and I believe that show has highlighted one of the Dutch catcher/processors a couple seasons ago.
Darn, I missed the show about the processor ship(s). And yes, reading that, that's pretty darned amazing -- all on one vessel.
