Tonight Goldfish and I recorded an interview with StoryCorps and got to meet a fellow island blogger for the first time. The 40 minutes went by really fast and I would encourage everyone to participate - a copy of the recording will be archived in the Library of Congress as a searchable document, available for future generations to enjoy. Learn more about StoryCorps here and if you are on the island, call Kristine at 359-8016 to schedule an appointment - tell her Steve sent you!

I'm a huge fan of StoryCorps...each Friday morning, a selected story is chosen and aired on our local NPR station, and I am always mesmerized by the stories that everyday people keep inside them. I wonder what your topic was?
what a dangerous ride, motorcycle, snow over ice. Glad you are safe

So glad you and Goldfish went to do StoryCorps! Wasn't it fun?! It was neat to run into you and get to meet Goldfish, too. See you around!
Thanks to you and Goldfish for coming in and telling your story. By being privledged to listen while I take notes and record, I have, once again, been awestruck by the pure love and conviction that lives in ordinary people. This part of my job should be the envy of the world.
You guys make me remember why I love stories, and telling them. Let's hope we always have someone who loves to carry it on.
That's fabulous, Steve!!!!
Those pictures are, as always, beautiful.
What beautiful photographs! The Kawasaki is just perfect for that kind of thing!
