Blogger is still having problems uploading anything with decent resolution and it's a bummer. You can see from above it has nearly driven me mad - this is just a 142 KB file and uploaded almost instantly (taken with the web cam). Any photo I take with my point and shoot comes in around a 1 MB file and they just time out with Firefox or upload endlessly with Safari. The only time I got anything to post - my last posting - I had to upload at 2:30 in the morning.
On a positive note, Goldfish is back from visiting family in Anchorage, we attended the company Christmas party earlier this evening (king crab legs, prime rib, dozens of other entrees and lots of prizes) and now we're decorating the tree and putting up all the Christmas decorations. I'll keep trying to post now and then and maybe just post text sometimes to stay in touch if I have to in the interim. I'm not going to change anything with my photography, I'm sure Blogger will be back to normal eventually and I can go back to the pictures I still take everyday. Until then, the Christmas carols are playing and the house is filled with cheer. I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season!
Hope. We all have it.

Hope gives us the capacity to find a methodology or strategy for making it
to a point where we want to end up. Having hopes and dreams gives us an
optimist...

Say Hi To Goldfish for me!!!
Yeah, I am still having troubles. REALLY frustrating. Sorry you are back to the same problem, though these psychedelic shots are pretty cool. :) Sounds like you are having a nice, cozy evening despite internet based annoyances. I love, love, love Christmas music and every year I buy (or download these days) a new Christmas CD. Just grabbed the new one by Los Lonely Boys last night.
Hurray! After reading your post, I decided to try resizing my photos smaller than usual and it worked! It's a decent trade-off and eases my annoyance immensely.
lol I love how you guys are so friendly with each other.
Doggone -- miss your great photos although the shocked look on your face says much.

I agree with Gigi--resize your photos. I used photobucket when I was having problems (for added benefit you can put cool frames on too.)
CB, AT & T are installing wireless in the bunkhouses at Alyeska, I may try it to see how it compares to cable modem - I heard pros and cons both ways and when I moved here cable was supposed to be faster so I went that route.
Jane and Kym, I guess I probably should break down and resize - I have such limited time I was trying to avoid making life any busier than it is. I can also change my camera settings and take lower resolution shots in the first place.
We have cable but I hear the wireless is much better. We may switch when we get back, too.
