Another Good Island Dog

If Chico has a partner in crime out here, it would be Cali. Cali is a bit less "complicated" - she loves to chase leaves, wallow in mud puddles like a hippo, and catch snowballs. Chico is slavishly devoted to her despite their large gap in ages.
As for Cali's human (Keri), we are all more than a little fond of her as well and look forward to her joining us for Thanksgiving again this year!

Cali is ALMOST as cool as Chico. ALMOST. Although I think her name should be KALI, after the Hindu Goddess of Destruction for her single minded determination to destroy leaves. Until you see her chase down a stray leaf in 30+mph wind gusts you really have no Idea how much fun this dog Is!! Totally the "may" part of Chico's May-December romance.

Love the photo with the ship in the background; love black labs. Love your philosophy. :)

Lori, you have a good Thanksgiving as well! CB, your spelling is probably correct, that make a lot of sense! Cali (or Kali) is a sweetheart by any spelling . . .

Suzzassippi, the cool think about that top photo is the tug escort. Double click the photo to blow it up and you can see the tug escort as the freighter goes through the narrows into Captain's Bay. For scale, that Dunlap tug is 60 or 70 feet long.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, Goldfish and of course Chico! I delight in Chico's antics and adventures. Big kiss on the nose to your furry boy.

My golden retriever and bassett hound roll around in the leaves also. They would love the snow and wish we got it more than once every few years. Love your blog. Have a Happy Thanskgiving!
