It is also used to make surimi, a protein paste that is manipulated to make lots of things - fake crab is probably the one folks are most familiar with; Elizabeth, the Bering Rose and the identical Alaska Rose do make appearances at our Seattle Office dock - the Being Rose spent the off season down there in dry dock and just got back up here a few weeks ago; Lauri, I don't know what to say - ya think they really were??; and BZ, those are actually from the point and shoot, still my first choice for hikes with the dog when the weather is poor because I can tuck it in my pocket.Alaska Stevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11400155127247572107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-863301631303294594.post-75657560367398621572009-01-31T16:32:00.000-09:002009-01-31T16:32:00.000-09:00Janice: yes, cod is now the more elite fish and go...Janice: yes, cod is now the more elite fish and good luck finding true cod any more! I used to think cod was used for those items but it is now pollack- I like fish sticks and fish sandwiches so I guess I like cheap fish. I did try to buy some halibut the other day- they wanted $32 for 2 lbs- I passed- back to the fish sticks.Janicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02452300962679237968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-863301631303294594.post-66904001574895136382009-01-31T09:11:00.000-09:002009-01-31T09:11:00.000-09:00Great photos Steve!
